Sarah Leonard, M.A.
College Admissions Counselor, and ACT prep, PreCalc/Math Analysis, Chemistry, & Algebra 2 instructor.
Sarah has been tutoring and teaching since 1999 and has taught math and science at private, public and charter schools in California where she had the opportunity to create unique science and math curriculum. After moving to Seattle in 2008, Sarah authored and edited math content for Kinetic Books, a digital math textbook company. The insight and experience she gained from tutoring and teaching math and science has largely inspired her and ignited her passion to make a change in what and how students are being taught and how they are learning. Sarah most recently taught 8th grade science for 3 years in Highline Public Schools, and is the President and Founder of Lake Washington Tutoring. Sarah's current practices include College Admissions Counseling, teaching ACT prep courses, and small group tutoring in math and chemistry.
Sarah holds a B.A. in Criminology, Law and Society, a B.S. in Biological Sciences from University of California, Irvine, a Master’s Degree in Teaching from the University of Washington, and a College Admissions Counseling Certificate from UCLA.
