Ji Hea completed her B.S. in Biology with a minor in Education, Learning and Societies at the University of Washington in 2016. Throughout college, she volunteered her time tutoring K-12 students throughout King County including the North Seattle Boys and Girls Club, Seattle World School, and Garfield High School. She also dedicated several quarters volunteering with the Dream Project at UW where she mentored high school juniors to achieve their post-secondary education goals. She often greets past mentees on campus who have been admitted to UW. This past year, she has returned to UW to pursue her Masters in Secondary Teaching with endorsements in Biology, Chemistry, and English Language Learning. Currently, she student teaches at Nathan Hale High School for 9th grade Physical Science and 11th grade Chemistry. Beyond teaching, Ji Hea plays in recreational volleyball leagues and trains for half-marathons.
